I want to hold her and comfort her and dry her tears,
but I cannot; so I leave.
I leave her
in the cold room
in her white dress and veil.

Because I know
too well
what will happen if I stay.
I know
too well,
what our love will do, to us,
to them,

to him.

So I leave.
And in my chest is the end of all things,
and I bear this pain, and I shake his hand,
and I leave those bells,
and these people,
and this town,
and that love
forever.

This is my sacrifice.

A parody of Da Vinci's 'The Vitruvian Man'.

0.05 and 0.1 pens, Faber Castel coloured pencils, blending stumps, acid-free paper. Photo references used for both Domo and the original Vitruvian Man drawing.

Due to Domo's unusual form (compared to our own, anyway) I had to squash the circle into an oval so that I could keep him within it and keep his raised arms touching its circumference.

This is a photo taken with flash on (I tried to diffuse it but no luck); I'll try to upload a proper scan soonish.

ThanXXX SOOO much for the “Fallen Tree mr. macd Classic”Fav ! As I say in my comments,This was actually drawn on the spot in 1989! We were on a Field Trip and I had a LONG extension from the Castle we were staying in down to the river! I flooded the screen with black and then painted with white and different tone patterns in a programme called MacPaint! Like you I am really intrigued by the unusual quality of the print! I plan to do more with it, particularly zooming in to gradually get more abstract! Keep on Creating!
